Why does he read a letter in perfect 18th century's English calligraphy out loud....in Japanese? And why did the guy wrote it in English anyway =S

The patch is helping me to get through the game pretty nicely, specially with the skills and awaken conditions translated. I wish more of the story was translated to help with reports, (and also understand a bit more myself )

1) I think I'll setup a page with known bugs.
2) I noticed the map names when I entered them, basically it's right since there's more than one save point in the area.
3) I'm not sure where the stage intros are in the gamefiles yet
4) Japanese game, got to have some random engrish
5) I think unique weapons are unsellable, basically if you didn't buy it to begin with
6)"MAIDO" is along the lines of "Thanks for your business"

NicoBlogs "Maido" is a somewhat informal term used by shopkeepers or crude salesmen when you purchase something. Technically, it only means "again", but its meaning can be taken as "Thanks for coming again" or "Thanks, come again". It's also used when the salesman personally knows the buyer.

Edit: Oops, I hadn't seen that JamRules had already explained it, haha!

I'll get around to those pictures eventually. The one you posted a screenshot of more or less says:

"The wrathful king cometh.
Carrying a star of brass,
Scorning your darkness."

At least I *think* that's 真鍮...

As for the letter, you can assume that the language they use in the game's world is not necessarily Japanese, but it's presented in Japanese because that's the language the audience speaks. Similarly how people in anime speak Japanese even if they're German, American, etc.

Fort he weapons, it's possible you can't sell it because you don't have any other weapons OR because those are unique ones like Jam has suggested.

Kidding aside, even if people don't speak Japanese, there's stuff they can potentially do. Inserting text via the file editor is easy, so there's that. But we first need the font fixed, I think. So I'm guessing people can also help if they can take a look at the font issue. Similarly, editing/proofreading work is also there, preferably by English native speakers with an affinity for prose (or just someone very proficient in English) and not necessarily me, because I'm biased about my own translations and it's always good to get a second opinion. Although I guess I can do it if no one else will.

GareJei seems to have done the majority of the translations and as far as I can tell at the moment I don't think I'll be able to change the cutscene dialog box to accept more text, since a new line is added automatically after 30 chars.
It might be a good idea to check all the text and typeset everything into lines of 30,
then once it's all ready edit the gamefiles.

that tentacled boss at the laboratory....man! i Don't know if it was because he caught me with my "test" team or what but i had to retry like 4 times to kill him...maybe i wasn't ready or needed higher lvl skills or extra sol from the tank i don't know..But damn it was challenging!
The main issue is that IMBA paralysis that you can't heal and last forever + poison, and he steal HP and regenerate his arm TWICE! WTF! I don't wanna know how hard will be the next big boss...

PS: Is there anything you can do against paralysis in this game besides waiting?

Tip: Use Cyril instead of Ema, and use Ema only to heal inbetween battles (you can heal from the menu while not in battle) while using HP regen with Cryil and maybe an item or two if you really need it (I didn't). Also, Cyril's buff ability (the one that boosts defense + attack power for the entire party if you level it up enough + charge it) is seriously the best and most useful skill in the entire game. I always used it at the beginning of battles, and since Cryil has tons of Sol, it's unlikely she'll ever run out. tl;dr Cyril is a great support character, and her level carries over to Lars' story, so it's worth leveling her up. For that boss in particular Ema *might* be of more help if you're losing lots of HP, but I overall prefer Cyril for support.

Of course, you shouldn't be underleveled, but buying better weapons and armor from Chinami are more important in my experience.

Paralysis can be healed by an item, and even Ema or Cyril might also have a cure spell that removes it, I don't quite remember. But there's an anti-paralysis item in the game, I'm pretty sure of that, and it's called パラライズリリース / Paralysis Release.

Btw, paralysis is 麻痺 in Japanese, if that helps.

Edit: Almost forgot, the anti-paralysis item is bought from Chinami as well AFAIK. But in order to expand her inventory, you have to sell crystals to her and increase the shop level. I dunno if that tutorial is already in the patch you're using.

it is.
I have the best weapons and armor i can have, in that fight i didn't have cyril but i use her often i have mastered her buff skill.
I don't see any item or skill to heal paralysis yet.

There's definitely an item but i'm not sure what stage it becomes available,
though Ema should be able to cure you. My standard party is Farel, Ema, Valter, Cyril.

edit: Ema's cure bullet (3rd on list) heals paralyse at lv3

I got now both the item and the skill to heal paralisis =P
i got to the hideout. I wonder how much of the game i have completed so far? 50% or more?

7 chapters for Farel, 7 for Lars, they're probably equal in length. So the end of Farel's story is more or less the halfway point of the game. The entire game took me about 25-30 hours I think. (might be less if you rush and don't bother to explore everything)

Do you happen to know how to know how to awake Valter's escape skill? I tried to stay low on life i let him die many times but he just don't wanna awake that skill:

I believe you have to be at low health when you start the battle,
unfortunately the translation doesn't fit on when you look at the awake condition

It's supposed to say "AWAKEs when in danger at battle start" but the last word is cut off
