I have a blue wii softmoded

Console ID: 156974528.
Region: PAL.
Hollywood v0x21.
Boot2 v4.
System Menu v514 (4.3E).
BC v2.
MIOS v10

But it wont read any of the original game discs i know its not the games because they work on my unmodded wii

The disc channel refuses to recognize them as wii games and none of my loaders will rip it to the hard drive

Honestly ive googled myself out and cant find anything like this any help would be appreciated

Seriously think its software related but who knows? :(

did you buy it softmoded? or did u soft mod it yourself?

anyways, can you post a syscheck for us? get it here: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/SysCheck

does it have a modchip installed? could be the culprit...

just last night I fixed a problem like that, It wouldnt even read original discs, so I removed the modchip and now its working

No modchip, standerd generic blue wii i used bannerbomb+modmii to softmod it il run a system check tonight an get it posted up

then most likely it's a hardware problem

you can try and update your cios and ios, but i doubt it will help

it shouldnt be hardware the wii isnt even 6 months old yet and the disc drives NEVER been used(edit: used it one on xmas day to play M&S at olympic games

can you be a little more clear when you tell me to update my cIos and ios ? what am i updating them too what should they be at now, cant that brick my wii if i mess around with ios's?

Not if you're carefull. Just don't delete anything and use trusted sources, like ModMii (look for it on these forums and follow the guide)

And don't install a stub IOS 80, since that's the one your system menu is using. Be careful with this one, deleting it or installing something on top of it will leave you with a bricked wii.

is that the info you guys needed from syscheck ?

your ios are updated

did you modify something in priiloader?

also, i see that you dont have bootmii installed, i strongly advice you do so right now, plus a nand backup

just in case

I have a nand back up already and fuck knows what happend to bootmi it should be there (shrugs) iv not messed with anything since the softmod(except a failed atempt at DML but my wii dosent have ports for gc controller so?) all my system menu hacks are off and still not reading discs

Any ideas?

Well then, it looks like a hardware problem to me.

you can try and remove the softmod and do it again, but i doubt it will help

as always, use modmii

Really dont want to undo my softmod, I only want to get this working because my internets crap and downloading takes AGEEEES it would be nice to be able to rip from retail discs

So any suggestions other than unsoftmod ?
