Hi, my wii no longer reads Genuine or Backup GC discs. Not in the main menu and not im usb loader gx.
It worked before.

It reads perfectly wii discs, at least Tales of Symphony Dawn of a new world that i'm currently playing.

It runs perfectly GC backups isos.

May some update of usb loader gx or something else broke this thing?

looks okay to me, try to reinstall mios (original no patches) and put nintendont on in the apps directory.
mios is is what's used to read GameCube games i'm not sure what BC does.
Nintendont can be linked to your backup launcer to run backups from, i'm not sure all wii's are compitable with burned gc discs when patched.
original discs should just work with original mios.
do original wii games still work for it could also be a dying dvd-drive... nintendont works with is's so you could just dump your roms the same as for wii just in another directory see: https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/backup-launchers/gamecube/nintendont

My wii don't eject gc discs.
It can't read nor eject... I need to "shake" the console while pushing eject to spit the disc out

But it reads PERFECTLY wii discs, and it doesn't give error or something like "unable to read the disc".
It "ignore" GC discs.
They worked last week... minidvd backups also...

well in that case use nintendont, and dump your games to iso. cheapest option... repairing it is a lot o work and hard to find piece of hardware.
use gcit if you like to use a tool for your gamecube backups...
you should just be able to dump the disc using a general iso tool since that isn't really protected.

It's not the lens, the same lens is used for GC and Wii as they're both DVD technology. There's a piece of plastic that allows 8 cm discs to work, if this piece of plastic is damaged or the mechanism is jammed, GC discs won't slide into the center correctly so the disc won't be recognized and since the disc doesn't go into the right place, the eject motor isn't able to eject it.
By inserting GC discs into a faulty disc drive and having to shake the console to get them out you're probably scratching up your discs badly. This can't be fixed with software, you'll have to replace the disc drive or fix whatever is broken in it.
If replacing the disc drive make sure you don't get one of the later disc drives for the Wii Family Edition as they don't have GC support and the plastic piece that allows 8 cm discs to work was removed.
Wiis are so cheap though that replacing the disc drive is probably not even worth it.

Thanks for this precious info!

I'll talk with a guy of a little repair shop in my city and i'll try to fix for cheap... If not, i'll stick with My isos on usbloader gx

SOLVED

This repair shop in my town fixed my dvd drive: one of the two plastic arms was broken.
Lens cleaned, dust removed, applied new paste on the cpu.
Replaced bios battery.
And gift me a revisioned Controller...

35€ and 3months warranty!
