O I see it, my bad. I made a Channel, started it by the channel and not HBC. With HBC it works.

Anyway to return to the System Menu like HBC does?

It's on our list. Expect some expectable behavior when started from a channel by the time we release a channel, or earlier.

I like SoftChip because of the 'open' design. Maybe a future-add:

Backup Launcher has this fancy menu...not that I like it that very much, it is just that SoftChip has all the warnings and blablabla above the menu. Maybe it's better if you have the warning screen only at first boot up and the menu like this:

*******SoftChip pre alpha r73*********
IOS249 Loaded

Game Language:System Default
Set Video Mode using:System Settings
Autoboot:Enabled
Silent:Disabled
Logging:Disabled
Remove 002 Protection:Enabled

As said, I don't need a fancy menu. It is more of a 'settings' menu and you just use autoboot method. Btw what is Silent?

I prefer the no thrills look of SoftChip

Silent means that you don't see anything when loading the game. If you set Autoboot+Silent after loading Softchip you won't see anything until the Wii Warning Screen.

OKay, thanks.

Also if I put a PAL game that had an Update Would it ask me if I wanted to update and give me a choice to say no, or would it do it automatically and potentially brick my wii?

can use either StarFire, " never used it so i dunno "

or do like i do and use BrickBlocker on the image before you burn it.

all my discs are PAL, running on NTSC system.... so far only 1 game from 30 game lineup that isn't working and thats
Boogie Superstar - Don't laugh its fun when your drunk

the game doesn't like the Force NTSC, just sits at a BLACK SCREEN

any clues btw? if this has been corrected or a work around ?

Thanks, I fixed the link if you're interested, it's in my sig too.

I think it's can be configurated to act like a direct launcher.

As far as I know, if you boot via the SoftChip Backup Loader (which is what this thread is about) then it will skip disc-based updates, so you don't need Starfall for that. You only need Starfall if you want to skip updates on original discs booted via the Disc Channel.
