Hacking So... what about that MT-Card update...

Hey there... so... am I wrong thinking that some time in 20XX (in Megaman years) we MT-Card users will get an update in order to use the latest emunand available? Or should I invest on a gateway card? Or should I ignore the emunand scene completely and get a sky3ds? Please, help me solve this dilemma... thank you in advance.

I disagree, gateway is pretty pointless to get now IMO. Getting one now would be a mistake.

It may not be a necessity with Pasta out, but a mistake idk about that.

Having emunand is pretty nice imo, if you're going to screw with any of the the system files, it's nice to be able to fix what you screwed up.

I also like not having to install every game to the systems SD (especially for the N3ds) they can take quite awhile.

I thought Rxtools was old 3ds exclusive. Or am I mistaken?

Edit: OP never specified which 3ds he used with the MT, so I just applied the N3ds since that is what I have... >_> heh.

MT-Card is only compatible with 4.X consoles, so...

Sorry, I forgot to mention... yes, I own an old3ds xl with 4.5 sysnand and 9.4 emunand...

Since the 2.3 update at christmas time, I wasn't really concerned about the lack of updates, because the reason I got a 3ds was to play Super Smash Bros. I got other games, sure, like Sonic Lost World, Pokemon Omega Ruby, Mario Kart, etc... but Smash Bros was the game that made me bend over backwards in order to get the console, and the 2.3 update allowed me that. But I've seen the recent news of Hyrule Warriors being ported and even more recently Mario & Sonic Rio 2016 and Sonic Boom Fire & Ice and that sparked my interest on updates again. I was thinking of updating the sysnand and turn my 3ds into a legit console and buy the games, but I want to save money for a ps4 because of naruto storm 4. That's why I want to see what alternatives do I have, being a noob in these matters. Once again, thank you for the suggestions.

Not yet. It may become pointless in the future, but it still beats Pasta and RxTools in everything other than DSiware/GBA support.

Sure, the Game compatibility is unbeatable yet but I prefer to use a CFW (Pasta, because RxTools doesn't work on N3DS) because the chance of getting banned is much smaller than using a Gateway. If you forget to use Private Headers and go online with Public headers, there's a big chance to get banned if you use a Gateway.
