Hacking So, I got a 2ds. Now What.

I recently got a 2ds that needs updating to 9.2. I was thinking about following this tutorial, , then once on 9.2, uninstalling rxtools, and then installing a9lh and luma using paliect's guide.

Would this work? would I need to format my sd once on 9.2? and would I brick doing this?

there is no need to go to 9.2, just start on whatever version you are on. rxTools is no longer updated and nobody recommends using it. it is a waste of time trying to go to 9.2 first.
