I'll do HardMods, too-
yeah hardmod is the only way to go.....it will probably be cheaper to post to Germany from the Netherlands, although its always good to know the reputation of the person doing the work for you,no offense by this chrisx930, just saying if you send your console to someone on the internet, its always good to know they have done this kind of work before and they ain't going to just keep the 3DS
but we all start somewhere i suppose, and it would be good to have another modder doing work for EU central, as UK international postage can be a little steep, to limit risk, just remember all you need to send is the console and maybe the SD card with nand backup....dont need to post the charger or gateway cards (if you have one)....limit your risk![]()
yeah don't worry i wasnt being funny, just saying its always best to be safe....will be good to be able to refer people to you when they are out of uk and postage is high....for some EU countries the UK postage is pretty steep....it varies from country to country thoughthat's correct
yea, that's true, I've not much reputation right now, but I'll change this![]()

well not really slow, it was like 2/3 days for postage to France when i did smealums 3DS a while back....its just some countries for some reason have very high postage costs....possibly due to their countries taxes or whatever....idk, but France was ok like £10 for tracked, but i was looking at somewhere last time....i forgot where now(somewhere like Greece i think), but postage was coming in at like £20 for basic economy without trackingYea, that'S true. UK is... expensive and slow to ship from a country like netherlands, germany or france.
Expensive o_obut postage was coming in at like £20 for basic economy without tracking
You got a point there, that's right.as i say hit n miss, but its always good for people to have options

Well if he does decide to keep it I can make sure he gets a negative reputation here.![]()
yeah, there is the weird bug that can happen even on stock, but you can tell the difference by pressing the power button once....on a bugged system it will still pop up with the "power down" screen, if it doesn't come up with that screen its pretty much bricked....tbh im fairly sure the OP must of not set up emunand, this happens if you update sysnand in gateway mode, the only way you can update sysnand in gateway mode is if you never set up emunand in the first place(or swapped SD cards to one that didnt have emunand set up on it)
......hmmm idk, only times i have seen the home menu not working other than bricked completely it still showed the power off screen when hitting power, then if you pressed home it would just freeze on the blank screen with "HOME" on it, never actually making it to the home-screen.....idk im sure there must be many ways for the 3DS to screw up, but if its not showing any signs of like after hard rebooting a few times....and it happening specifically after updating in gateway mode, odds are its a proper brick, even the frozen home-screen thing could only be recovered by restoring a good nand backupYeah my system never had the power down screen, just a steady blue light and black screens.
restore your sysnand backup with the gateway menu, updating sysnand is gateway mode is not advised, and has lead to quite a few bricksSorry needs advise a bit, I just downgrade my 3ds xl to 4.2 and install emuNAND and update it to 9.4 and also install CFW 4.5 everything went fine, It just I cannot play my pokemon Y because it says my save is corrupted and also the same with my other game. Should I just update my sysNAND to 8.1 with game rom like ultimate nes remix or restore my backup NAND through gateway? Which one is better?
What else is he going to do with his Brick though?yeah hardmod is the only way to go.....it will probably be cheaper to post to Germany from the Netherlands, although its always good to know the reputation of the person doing the work for you,no offense by this chrisx930, just saying if you send your console to someone on the internet, its always good to know they have done this kind of work before and they ain't going to just keep the 3DS
