the super secret encryption key was "6675636B20796F752067617465776179" so they managed to guess it real quick
ps this is a joke  bonus points for why:P
yeah, let's continue biting the hand that feeds and/or bricks us. ;P

So nintendo would browse a 'gaming community' forum (A.K.A Piracy forum) to figure out how a flashcart company broke their encryption?

OK then.

well one we are not a Piracy forum. second why not? when sudokuhax was released, we are one of the 1st to know about it was pulled from the store in hours.

Sony does it when a new VHBL is released is pulled from the store in minutes.

im sure Nintendo keeps a close eye on GBATemp, to see any new news about whats happening to they consoles.

they was more things happened where Nintendo pulled or done showed where GBAtemp is being watched, just cant remember now.

Yes, i know all two well about the PS Vita scene, I'm a semi-well know member of wololo.net/talk actually :yaysp:

What i meant, was that i'm sure nintendo has an army of security devs that all have a 4.1-4.5 3DS console with the DS profile exploit installed and a gateway cart, reverse engineering every update our beloved Gateway team is releasing.

Sony has blocked many many private PSP exploits by the respected devs before they were even announced on wololo.net. Did they discover them on the forums? Nope.

but you made it sound like Nintendo have no idea about GBATemp.

with this V

how do you think Nintendo heard about how beloved Gateway?

Seriously though, a multinational company whose revenue in 2014 is 5.4 billion US dollars (Source) and they monitor a forum full of pirates who reap the benefits of a system exploit that has been advertised on 3Dbrew.org for years now?
no they keep tabs on forums like this for new releases and more info on up coming releases...but not only this forum, they will have lots of sites monitored.....no doubt the majority by bots, but you can be sure as soon as something gets flagged it will be quickly sent to a person to check it out, you used the whole reason why as a backwards argument, the make billions a year.....its in their best interests to monitor everywhere they can to make sure the net hasn't ripped

The new encryption keys are in the update files they just pulled them out and added them into their emunand.
Then they just have the 3ds do the work like the rom decryptor does only with the new keys added.

That was exactly what I guessed. They are calling the keys while their launcher is loading the emuNAND. Aside from the obfuscation, this may be the reason the new launcher takes even more time to load.

The obfuscation IS the ENTIRE reason it takes longer to load.
