Hacking So how did Gateway do it?

My hope is that gateway can pick apart smealums hack when it finally comes out and implement it for a gateway cart on the new 3ds systems on the latest firmware. I would even gladly pay for a new cartridge at that point because gateway would truly deserve it

My hope is once Smea ever releases his exploit, it will lead to a kernal exploit, which in turn blows the system wide open to CFW and puts an end to GW and their flashcard and brings back free user exploits like it was back in the old days of PSP and Wii hacks.

we already have a kernel exploit , the 4.x exploit that gateway use it's not like they came up with it , Devs like Smea can do all what gateway can without the need of a flashcart.
i wonder why he didn't release his work rednannd it will end gateway business for good , thought he didn't promise anyone that he will so i totally understand and not asking for anything .

Yeah, but I'm talking possible 8.x firmware and above kernel exploits, as Smea confirmed his homebrew is 8.x compatible. GW is only 4.5 and if they had open doors elsewhere with later firmwares then surely they would have released their software (Post 4.5) by now, as it's more money to their triad corrupt business because a vast majority are on higher firmwares, except the users that follow the scene.

I think he is going to wait for the new 3ds.
I think that would be the best thing to do so the most amount of people can use homebrew.
