The Resident Evil Demo seems to look after the Slider Pad at the start and in the Control Settings.

Anyone here with the right equipment to look what kind of data the 3DS is sending?
    Might be useful :)

    I forgot
It's...possible but chances are it's encrypted and wouldn't lead to anywhere. Though I would like to use my 3DS as a remote...

Oh i have some ideas, like making an custom controller from an old Wii Classic controller and stuff like that.
But we wont find out until someone looks into it ;)

If you can determine the frequency and wavelength of IR transmission, it's not hard to build a sniffer. I actually have all the parts lying around (an ATMega328P microcontroller as well as 850/950nm IR photoresistors and LEDs as well as the code for such a sniffer).
Turning that data into something meaningful is a different story.

And I don't have anything that uses the IR port (games OR hardware).

Engine Room with Cyan, watching him learn.
Decided to upload a video of it for kicks (with my 2nd 3ds as the camera).
