whenever i load a game, i get the following error message:

f_stat failed, error 3

and whenever i press the home button to leave a game and return to the emu's menu, i get this:

f_open failed, error 3

this seems to be a problem with saving. does anyone know what can be done?

That's because you most likely don't have the saves directory in /snes9x/. Just create a directory in the snes9x folder that is on the root (not the one in your apps folder) and name it saves. This should fix the problem.

On another note, does anyone know how to get multi tap to function for this emu? I go ahead and turn multi tap ON in the options use 3 controllers, 1 classic controller and 2 gc, and try and play Secret of Mana 3 player but it does not work for some reason... only 2 people will be allowed to play. Any help is great.

Good to see this emulator is going strong. Seems like the rest of the emulator devs have given up releasing new versions. Either that or they are all making huge bug fix versions

As for a channel version? Why the hell would you have to have that over the version now? Is the HBC really that difficult to use? Does the extra 20 seconds to boot the HBC really take that long?

IMO I prefer the Homebrew Channel to a channel for a home brew app. Reason being is so it wont take up space on my Wii's channel pages. This leaves way more room for the VC and other things. It also leaves that few extra Mbs that it would take to install it on to the Wii off of it and on an SD card.

I can't get games to load. Some games just freeze the emulator when I hit play game, games that save give me a specific error about a save file missing.

The error ActRaiser gives is: Unable to find /snes9x/saves/EAC3358D.srm.
I do have a saves folder and it's completely empty, kinda obvious considering I've never gotten anything to load so why would it be looking for a save? I get something like this for every game involving saving like the Final Fantasies and DKC.

Other games just lock the emulator up, no message.

Will we see gamecube controller support?

As 1 of your fellow Americans once said "you can not be serious"...

Its had it for a while...

Orly? I didn't try it out actually. I just didn't see any ware it saying it was supported.

Thanks to the GBATemp staff and Team AceKard for a great quiz!

It seems a bit underhand that some people have been vandalizing Wikipedia to try and gain an advantage over others (changing the Play It Loud colours, removing Gunpei Yokoi's name, changing the GBC screen resolution, changing the game Solid Snake appeared in etc.) -- are the mods planning on identifying members involved in this sort of thing?

QUOTE(st90 @ Jun 2 2008, 01:00 AM) it doesn't read 4 gig card just up to 2 gig

SNES9X loads up fine from my 4gig card, it just wont load the roms, but the strange thing is, is that it writes saves and save states without any problems.

when i download the channel version how do i install it? Its not even a .wad its just a file.

Rename it by adding a .rar to the file name then extract it with WinRAR.

iether way that sd card format isn't supported just 2 gig and under that is how it always has been unless you got some new wii system that supports the new 4gig+ sd cards

Hey guys, when I'm using a wiimote without a nunchuck, how do I return to the snes9x menu? The home button is the start button when there's no nunchuck...
