Hi All,

Awhile back I migrated everything from Google Code to GitHub. With some help from Askot I've merged in (hopefully) all of the changes from the last 4 years since I last put out a release. Thanks to Zopenko for picking up the torch as well and continuing to support the emulator.

I've rolled it all up into a new release. Please try it out and post feedback here, or better yet submit a pull request if you have changes.

Latest Release: https://github.com/dborth/snes9xgx/releases
Changelog: https://github.com/dborth/snes9xgx/blob/master/readme.txt

Enjoy!

Is there a way to map the buttons to the right stick for games like Smash TV? Shooting diagonally with buttons feels awkward to me. Would like to be able to play it with arcade-style twin-stick controls.

Good suggestion. Could be expanded to make the Fast-Forward and Menu button mappeable too.

I would very much like that. Being able to map Fast-Forward to ZR would mean I wouldn't have to take my thumb off the buttons. In fact, all of the emulators should have this feature. For Gamecube controllers there should be an option to un-map Home and FF altogether.

Back to Smash TV, I only have one Classic Controller, so in 2-Player one of us is stuck with a GC controller, which is very poor for retro gaming general, especially so in twin-stick shooter games due to it's non-standard face button layout. Being able to map the buttons to the C-stick would be a great fix for this.

I would't touch the Home button, but definitely the Right/C-Stick for some alternate game configurations.

Would it be possible to implement individual game settings? For example Yoshi's Island and Final Fantasy VI don't fill the screen by default, it would be nice to be able to zoom in the screen for them and not have to re-adjust every time I switch to another game. I'm also picky about which games I use the Scanlines filter with; I find Donkey Kong Country and Hagane: The Final Conflict look great with scanlines, but brighter games like Super Mario World look better without them.

Hi Tantric, first of all, thanks for all your work on GX emulators.
I tried to add an already existing option in the vbagx emulator to snes9x gx but when compiling an error occurs.
The option is the image filter, in vbagx is available the option to select "sharp" or "soft" filtering.
Is there a possibility to add this option to snes9x gx?
Thank you very much for your time and dedication.

If I'm not mistaken... isn't that option already available in the emulator?

No, in snes9x gx there is only the option of filtering and not filtering in 480p mode.
Filtering "sharp" or "soft" is an exclusive option of vbagx
