I don't know much about how the Wii's DSP or MIOS works, but it might be possible to intercept the streaming commands to use its own custom sound mixer for streaming audio, but that assumes the MIOS can have full access to the DSP, and be able to avoid messing up the PPC->DSP stream.M[u said:ddy]
But the drive doesn't just start sending Sound to the DSP out of nowhere. There has to be a trigger that tells the drive when it should stream which sound. Maybe it's possible to recognize the trigger and then manually play the sound.
