In my last test I used my real serial number and I have the same problem. So, for me, there is another issue.

The idea that the serial has a check inside, like credit card numbers, may be possible but if all 5's works it seems not probable.

To decode and encrypt setting.txt I used the routine posted here but I removed the EOF check because with this check the decoding stops at the line "CODE=LEH".

To successfully decode and encode I had to edit decode.txt in a hex editor (not a text editor, notepad and wordpad seem to corrupt it). I assume the right text editor would work, but this seems like the safest option.

I'm trying to get sneek going but I'm having some trouble. It seems that everything is working correctly (boots system menu/HBC fine, but when I try to boot up an app in the HBC, I just get a black screen freeze. Any help? I've read something about uninstalling priiloader to make a nand dump... I don't have priiloader but I do have startpatch hacks installed. would this cause problems? thanks

because you are using a app from HBC that tries to use a cIOS.

sneek + cIOS = dont work.

think i got my sneek nand to load how do i know for certain ...its running as i booted sneek via bootmii ios from hbc and takes a while to load up sm but because its a copy of my real nand how do i test that its sneek nand....( i had to deleted preloader from my nand dump) otherwise i got black screen

do i try to run an app( cios) and if nothing then i know its my sneek?

just move a channel on your system menu with b+a to a different spot. then turn off the wii and turn it back on without the sd card there. if the channel is still moved, then sneek did not work. if the channel is back to its original spot, then sneek is working

I think you only need to install Priiloader (to your real NAND) if you want to boot directly into SNEEK when you turn your Wii on. Otherwise you should be able to run SNEEK by starting the Wii normally and running BootMii from HBC (insert your properly configured SNEEK SD card first).

Priiloader can be configured to automatically load BootMii IOS instead of the System Menu. If you don't care about that just run BootMii IOS from HBC.

Yeah, if you don't want to autoboot into SNEEK after loading BootMii IOS (so you'll still see the BootMii menu first)

If you do want to autoboot:

ok after reading this thread yes the whole 70 pages i decided to compile sneek knowing nothing at all what to do and having nothing but the sneek guide
and all works i have read s bit about cioscorp being able to be put on there but how do i do it
and how do i remove the weather/photo channels etc do i use any title deleter
also after 70 pages its a bit hard to remember everything but i cant access the usb drive can i...
and i cant use the sd card while sneek is in use..?

also when i remove the sdcard my wiimotes wont sync with the wii

it's probably too shortsighted to just say "you can still access the usb drive", but...you can still access the usb drive (my sneek'ed homebrew channel instantly showed me the contents of USB:\apps).
From what I recall, the sd card is currently considered "not in the drive" if you want to use it for anything.

What are you trying to pull off by removing the SD card while emulating your NAND with sneek? Unless I missed a part where sneek became able to run from USB, all files your sneeked wii uses are on that disk. What you're trying to do is nothing short of removing your windows folder and expecting things just keep working.

setting it to HBC will still boot the system menu(from SD-NAND)

Anybody having problems with Guitar Hero 5 on this? I can't go online, with the error message "Cannot access Nintendo Wi-Fi connection with this name." Connects fine without SNEEK. Retail disc and everything (no piracy). I tried deleting my Guitar Hero 5 save data, but that didn't work either.

Works great otherwise, this is an awesome tool and keeps your real NAND safe from bricks and those evil Nintendo homebrew-killing updates
