Would anyone mind to explain me why backups can be played on an emulated nand? Really weird, if it doesn't work with cIOS, and I don't have a modchip...
wtf.gif

Does it recognize them like an original game!?

^^ Haha you tried and it works. I havent tried yet but in theorie it should load all backups like original even without any cios. This was my theorie and like it looks it might be true.

EDIT: Not working for me. I tried several games but none worked. Which systemmenu do you have?

Sneek Auto-Installer (by X-Flak)

The easiest LEGAL way to get all the files you need for Sneek to work!

Download it here

Many thanks to crediar, Wilsof, Wiininja, WB3000 and all the other homebrewers out there

@Det1re, feel free to add this to the first post if you wish

Usage/Instructions:

(note that instructions are also included in the download, but I've posted them here also)
First, open the rar file you downloaded (using winrar or a similar program), and extract (drag-and-drop) the "Copy_to_C" to the root of your C:\ drive.

Like this
14mwh7k.jpg

Open the "Copy_to_C" folder and run (double-click) the Sneak_Installer.bat (I know I spelled it wrong, but I can't be bothered to fix it now, lol). (If using Windows Vista or Windows 7, you may need to right click it and select run as administrator for it to work, but first try it without doing that).

Type in 42 and click Generate
qs1lab.jpg

Click OK
smy88i.jpg

Click Exit (clicking the X in the top right corner does not work)
n2ygqc.jpg

Just wait a couple minutes for the program to do its thing.
It's finished when the screen looks like this.
2bb57r.jpg

Now copy everything inside the Copy_to_SD folder to the root for your SD card
m82rh0.jpg

In other words, copy these files (bootmii folder and boot2.bin) to the SD card
352hvsy.jpg

So your SD card should look like this.
23phkp.jpg

Now you must past a copy of a bootmii "ppcboot.elf" file to the "SD:\bootmii" folder. This file is created when bootmii is installed (or by preparing an SD card with bootmii), and it would be saved in the same folder (ie. SD:\bootmii)

Optional: here you can run BootMii INI Maker.exe if you would like to change the settings in the bootmii.ini file. Currently the settings are to autoboot the system menu after a 0 second delay using NTSC video mode.
2cyi9ue.jpg

Now all you need to launch sneek is a nand dump (also saved to the root of your SD card). To make one, use showmiiwads to extract the files from a bootmii nand.bin dump. Your nand dump should include the following folders: import, meta, Shared1, Shared2, sys, ticket, title and tmp. So your SD card should look like this:
o0b5mw.jpg

Now insert the SD card into your wii and launch bootmii to start using Sneek (if you have bootmii as boot2, it will start running Sneek right away)

-if you have problems it is probably your nand dump, read the instructions on removing Priiloader for your nand dump (if applicable) and it should solve your problem. You can find this info and more here (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=205511)

Thanks to crediar, Wilsof, Wiininja, WB3000 and all the other homebrewers out there

did you get permission from the devs to include their work in this package? I was planning on doing something similar, but was waiting till I got permission from devs...(I had contacted crediar, but he hadn't replied yet). Guess I won't bother now though. Nice work.

shit, i never asked crediar!! i knew i forgot something! The only thing I have in there that I need his permission for is the armboot.bin, and that's on the google code page so i didn't think it was a big deal.

If any of the people I thanked (namely crediar, wilsof, Wiininja or WB3000) have a problem with this package i put together, plz pm me, and I will either remove some or all the files from mediafire (depending on what the dev wants).

I apologize if I've pissed any1 off, I got nuttin but mad respect for every dev I know!

that package is illegal the boot2.diff holds basicly the 0000000E module of IOS60 and es/fs module.

I'm not 100% sure either way whether this is illegal or not. It doesn't actually have any original Ninty code afaik, it just contains the difference between 0000000e.app and boot2.bin. But it's not hard to make it definitely completely legal; just put in the ES & FS modules in elf form and the two exes ELFIns.exe and Boot2Me.exe, then have the batch file run those programs, like the in batch file I posted (http://sifjar.hostoi.com/SNEEK.bat), as well as the other stuff yours does.

EDIT: @buffdog: How long did you leave it on the black screen? Apparently on some SD cards it can take a while for System Menu to show up...Also, if that doesn;t work, try using ShowMiiWads to install a new System Menu WAD for the same System Menu and region as you had. This will remove all StartPatch patches

plz tell me your joking... i'll take it down if i have to... but f*ck!!

edit: wilsof actually made the boot2.diff file... so wilsof, u around? u happen to know if this is legal? I would assume it is (otherwise every1 would just be sharing the files themselves instead of batch files)

Edit2: I don't have anymore time to gbatemp right now... so I will leave the post up, assuming that it is legal, if its not, mods feel free to take it down. Otherwise I'll take it down when/if it is brought to my attention that the files I'm sharing is illegal.

@ myfail the FFS module has ripped out gecko logging and logs to sneek.log in the root of sd card, disc light flashes when accessing log file
if anyone haz some nice idea's, ... (exept usb !)

all you need is the decrypted 0000000E.app file from NUSD in the folder and run the batch file creates the boot2.bin from the files provided

boot2.bin(sd root)
armboot.bin(SneekedBootmii folder with copy of ppcboot.elf and bootmii.ini)

longtom, do u mind if I include this is in my batch file to make it more legal??
If it works for everyone then use it just used info from sneek googlecode wiki and little no frills batch file gonna update it with readmii and NUSD1.3b

OK, now the bootmii shell loads (with the modified armboot.bin) but when I select System Menu, I get a blank screen. The NAND Dump is for a 3.4E Wii.

I don't why SNEEK is so slow for everyone... When beta testing it would only take something like 2 secs to bootup on my SD card
Btw, I don't think SNEEK checks if autoboot is set, it automatically boots emulated SM.

@sifjar.thx i left the black screen for about a min,my sd cards am trying to sandisk for wii 1gb and sandisk sdhc 2 4gb.and i and showmiiwads i think there something on this op about that

hi all
i have made everything, it means, i have compilated the sneek, so i have my bootmii folder with 3 files armboot, ppcboot.elf, bootmii.ini , more boot2.bin. than i have made the backup with simple fs dumper.
so i have all backup folders , bootmii folder and boot2.bin in the root of my sd, but when i insert the sd in the wii , and i play it,i see the bootmii menu , while i have understood that the emulator should start immediatly.
if i touch in the bootmii menu, system channel or wii , i have a black screen

suggestions?
thanks

Any chance that elfins.exe and boot2me.exe are 64 bit applications or have some specific requirements to run? Neither the files I downloaded from the googlecode page nor the ones included in this archive are working on my x86 Windows XP install:

"The system cannot execute the specified program."

There are earlier posts from people with the same problem.

BTW: Using the boot2.diff and the jptch.exe worked fine for me.
