Hi,

I am on 5.5 and Smash bros wants to download its title update to play online...
But tubehack DNS won't allow the update to download and I don't want my Wii U to upgrade to 5.5.1

So is there any way to install the last smash bros update to play online and stay on 5.5?

5.5.1 is 100% safe?
Maybe, the IOSU exploit, would have you covered on 5.5.1 but if you use loadiine or any of that shiz, then you shouldn't update,
speaking of IOSU, it isn't out yet so just wait, but if you do use loadiine or anything then update

You can't use loadline for 5.5 yet. When loadline for 5.5 comes out, it will also work for 5.5.1.

Make sure you remember to reenable tubehax after you get all your updates. Might as well update your other games, such as Mario maker, Guitar Hero, Splatoon, while you are at it.

What I do is leave two connections on my Wii U. One has tubehax on it always. The other one goes back and forth between real DNS when I want to update, and fake DNS otherwise. This way I never have to retype in tubehax dns ips.

I think I'm on FW 5.3.2. Is it possible for me to get the latest Smash update somehow, without updating my Wii U FW? What about the DLC characters and stages? Thanks for any info.

you can download the latest game update with nusgrabber, and then update with wupinstaller
to access the eshop you have to spoof to the latest fw with wupinstaller
can't go into much detail because i haven't done it myself, but feel free to look in the forums

I cant justify $1k+ on a nice ass phone. I can spend that on a 75" tv screen. Why a 6" screen device cost me the same? lol

I had a iPhone 5 for like 6 years, till last year, and had to get new phone, when phone companies stop using the cdna networks, which the iphone5 used.

Nah a phones going to always be more powerful than a TV if the TVs $2grand maybe but why when I can put a smaller device in my pocket that does basically everything a TV already does

I can justify a decent $800 smartphone that'll last 3 years when I could get a 65" TV for $400 and buy a decent micro computer for $100 more
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Tbf there are decent $400 smartphones in today's market that make top end spec phones unjust it's just what you want
