Err... never mind.Do you mean like a Wii U port of SACT, or if it works with sm4sh Wii u?
So.....So I'm trying to restore a backup someone game me to my Wolf Link Amiibo that is brand new and never used for LOZ TP HD. It tells me "Failed to open the appdata. This appdata isn't initialized. Skipping appdata reading sine it's uninitilized." TagState changed from 3 to 5. TagState changed from 5 to 4. Is there a way to restore the save data from another Amiibo onto it without ever having used it on Zelda before? It doesn't work at all on Smash so I can't use that it is registered with a name and a Mii however.
I'm guessing there's no homebrew way to copy the app data from another Amiibo? I know it's not supported by smash was just trying to use this to restore another amiibo's backup to my amiibo. If there isn't a way to do this it would be nice to have a simple cut and dry way to copy app/save data from any amiibo of the same kind to a new one.So.....
1st. Wolf link isn't a supported amiibo by smash, it is only supported by BotW and TP:HD
2nd. "Appdata initialized" means that your amiibo doesn't have a game appdata
I think what he means is that you need to create data on the amiibo to replace... just make dummy data, and replace it. I had a similar issue before with saves, turns out I had to make dummy saves by launching the game.I'm guessing there's no homebrew way to copy the app data from another Amiibo? My issue is don't own a Wii U or Zelda TP HD so that's why I was trying to copy it to begin with. Is there another have on 3ds that would work or does it have to be Zelda?I think what he means is that you need to create data on the amiibo to replace... just make dummy data, and replace it. If you don't own those, just curious, whats the amiibo for then? try setting up the amiibo in the 3ds home menu with it, maybe that might work.My issue is don't own a Wii U or Zelda TP HD so that's why I was trying to copy it to begin with. Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on the Switch. But I suppose maybe I can use that game to initialize it when it comes out. It's already got a name and a Mii. Funny enough in the other thread for Wii U there are a few of us trying to accomplish the same thing for botw.If you don't own those, just curious, whats the amiibo for then? try setting up the amiibo in the 3ds home menu with it, maybe that might work.
I would recommend waiting until it comes out, you never know if they might implement something new that makes the amiibo switch only, or change encryption, or something of the like.Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on the Switch. Yeah you're probably right. You know it's impatient types lol. I was mostly bored and wanted to try if it was possible since it's brand new and you can mess Amiibo up.I would recommend waiting until it comes out, you never know if they might implement something new that makes the amiibo switch only.
you could try initializing some kind of appdata with the 3ds for the amiibo, then seeing if you can replace it, but the switch may throw a curveball at you.Yeah you're probably right. Oh OK, I thought that the 11.3 update broke somethingSo I tried it and the app crashes no matter the amiibo I scan, both on .cia and .3dsx version.
My 3DS is a N3DS XL, 11.3.0 E, it has A9LH and Luma CFW
I used the latest version of this app
EDIT: Now it decided to work for some reason
It's only my Ike amiibo that doesn't want to work now, but I don't really mind it (and yes, it works perfectly on Wii U)Oh OK, I thought that the 11.3 update broke something
