i love how this thread exploded out of nowhere, this is starting to be too much for me LOL. I almost want to suggest using that link BUT i can still take games to play in this thread.

It's a lot of fun, the bullet patterns are really interesting, in general I don't think the Touhou games are any more difficult than your average bullet hell shooter, your hitbox is quite small, and if you get hit you can quickly use a bomb to save yourself.
every single video i look at anything mainline for Touhou it's just insanity and i don't know if I'm ready for that game yet. yeah i know the hitbox is small, but the game... Maybe someday. I do want to go through my life playing this, as for now, it feels like I'm not as much of a shmup fan without playing an Aleste, Touhou, or any other notable ones.
The first one is my favorite, I played the Wii version too, aside from the lower resolution, I prefer the looks of the Wii version over the Switch one, but whichever you play is a blast.
Amazing.
I really encourage you to give it another shot, it's one of the hardest games I've played, but it's very rewarding. And it's similar to Melee in a way, where you can learn the intended mechanics and beat the game successfully, but there's a higher skill ceiling if you're interested in really mastering it.
i did NOT remember F-Zero GX being hard, but it has been a long while since I played it.
It has a chance to crash after every battle due to a bug, this can affect your playtime alot when you're inside a dungeon that's lengthy or just got done grinding levels, etc. Other than that from what I understand the other bugs this version has are non issues.

(I could not find a bug fix rom hack at all anywhere, I believe the only rom hack it has is an undub)

But if you're not bothered by random crashes, I say go for it, that version is definitely one of the better ones in terms of sound design and visuals imo.
I see.. I'm shocked nobody has ever made a notable hack that fixes this exact bug, but i'll play the other version without the bug.
VVVVV is 5 bucks full price and regularly goes on sale for 1.24 euro. But I get it...it used to be in every humble bundle back in the days. :P
i won't get anything until I get valerie with my steam money LOL. i don't know the price of that game yet, and i want to ensure that my $19 is enough to get the game (hopefully). i don't want for it to be another... Sea of Stars situation
Mina the hollower: this is like a gameboy color platformer style game with winks to the old Zelda games. This is probably known since it's made by the shovel knight crew.
I love Shovel Knight (never played it but my brother LOVES it), and Mina the Hollower is also something that my brother LOVES (and also has). He has yet to get Treasure Trove for Steam though.
Pipistrello and the cursed yoyo: in the style of the gameboy advance. Less known (I think), but I like this one better. It captures the more quirky and loosey nature of those games.
I have this on my wishlist
