Hm. I haven't tested those. Some mods just do that, I'm guessing since they're made for Wii U.

Yeah, I've noticed if the mod replaced snd_se_joucyu it makes all sorts of odd noises.

Newer versions of SaltySD don't even use cache.bin, it's entirely useless.

well where do I get a newer version? and dont say smash selector because that doesn't work it either crashes at start or doesn't even run

I don't release builds, I only push the source to https://github.com/shinyquagsire23/SaltySD. If Smash Selector isn't working for you, you could try compiling yourself and see if that works.
