Sadly, yes. the GUI is really outdated and is the only drawback to the SCDS.
Try changing to text view mode. That should speed things up.

i tested some
the lag is because of "ndsinfo.dat" file. it has several informations of roms containing save file size.
removing or renaming the "ndsinfo.dat" can reduce the gui lag.
but on some recent roms, they did not work properly.
i recommand that you backup sav files before you remove the info file.
