It saves battery life if you close the lid in "sleep mode", but it drains significantly more than the real sleep mode. I wish this can get fixed. Iwata power.

    If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction
