Theres also a few other damn good reasons to play from USB drive rather than dvd: faster loading times, less noise, no annoying discswapping, no dvd wear, no disc wear etc etc

Just posting to confirm that playing the PAL version has indeed fixed the issue for me. (or at least has for now) Finished the second temple, no freezes. So far so good!

I think the problem is really the Wii. I think it can cause randomly lockups like this. I got my save and played the game on other Wii. I've passed the part that the games locked up, saved, and got back to my Wii. Just finished the game now, with no problems. But when I try to go back to the map the game locked up... when, it locks up =D

Same thing is happening to me at Eldin Volcano, controller just locks up. Trying to download a different .iso now to see if that works but if not I'll try what was suggested to do in this thread.
What is this fix that was mentioned before? and how do I change my save files from NTSC to PAL in the case I need to download a PAL .iso and not restart from the beginning.
