I've been replaying Wind Waker having only played through it once when it first came out =P

I will keep checking THAT forum and THAT private site

This is also what I'll be doing until I sleep shortly, and just hope for the best when I wake up...

But as of now I am very hyped... Was tempted to start a different game, but the worst is if I start one now and only get halfway through, I may forget a lot of it when I start again after Zelda :( Oh well, I'll just keep my hypetrain going

I have to work tomorrow (you know it being a weekday and all), but hopefully by the time I get home it will have leaked. My leak date guess for a long time has been the 5th, and I'm getting the feeling that I will probably be close one way or the other.

They closed down the other thread, so sad :( I'm playing Wind Waker at the moment, its so good after you have like more than 3 years without touching it. It feels as if I never played it before loool even tho' I did finish it back then 100%.

By that do you mean the German private site

Just to get this straight... is this a real German site or is it a fake "Ironic" site making fun of a previous post? If its real what site is it. the name of it or what to google to find such a site?

The other thread was getting really aggressive and nasty. Wind waker was one of my favorites, except every time I try to replay it, I get frustrated with all the sailing around. Based on that new video, it looks like that won't be as much of a problem in skyward sword.

what is this magical and mysterious "THAT forum and THAT private site"?

Yeah I actually played through Wind Waker again this summer with a friend. It was an excellent game except for the extremely slow boat... Thank god for Skyloft birds that's all I can say.

I hope I can use a retail copy of this game on my Hacked Wii.
I can use CFG USB loader. Maybe I could somehow launch the game that way? I never used Motion-Plus on my Wii and DKC Returns crashes on me every hour or so.
If there is no simple way to configure my hacks, is they any way to safely update to the official FW and then use BANNER BOMB to re-hack my Wii?
I wanna get this game so bad! I just don't want it brickn' my Wii!

I agree with all of that =) I have basically forgotten all the puzzles and all that since I last played it, so yeah I feel like its a brand new game as well =)

Boat needs a motor upgrade Item. Don't worry about SS... though the birds are significantly speeder the land masses are much farther apart. lol

Man I'm so hyped for this game. It will be the first Wii game in about 2 years that I will actually sit down and play all the way through.

Yeah, the boat is a bit... Hmmm... boring? Now,once you get the cannon upgrade its fun blasting baddies from afar lol. I like how the weather changes the color and effects on the water and enviroments, maybe SS will have this," weather thing on the sky?"... Hmmm... I can say that this game keeps this sense of exploration and newness on every corner, that I did not find in TP. looks amazing for its time.

@DJ91990: Use Wii Mod to update every system IOS to the latest non-stub version, update to the latest system menu, and patch the system menu IOS (80) with the trucha patch. Then install IOS236 and cIOS d2x and you should be set to go. Whoever thought patch all of the system IOSs with stuff had the wrong idea, you should leave as much of the system alone as possible.

No need to update your System Menu, and what does 23 (that's not even a real IOS) have to do with this?

If you want to NOT screw up your Wii, just use ModMii to softmod your Wii and everything will work fine.

I meant to say 236. And there is really no reason not to update your system menu, it sounded like he sort of wanted to. Priiloader lets you patch everything, just use v7 (and don't update to the v8 beta yet), and it is really safe.

Also, I don't use ModMii because it doesn't work on Linux, but I have heard it works well. I try to do all of my stuff with native Wii apps though.

Why put wear and tear on retail disc? Just store it in your collection of amazing Wii games and play off USB loaders. I just bought game cause it's a collectable.

What you are telling him to do is unnecessary and unsafe. While modding in general is dangerous, he would do much better to follow a proper guide. If you don't have Windows, I suggest using Softmod ANY Wii by mauifrog.
