I believe it works with up to 31 games (or until your microSD runs out of space)? I have a Sky3DS Rev2 and have only ever put up to 15 games on it at once. Also, if you do get one, don't bother with a 64gb card. 32gb is way enough (I recommend a Sandisk Extreme).

Just my opinion, if you really want a flashcard, with the downgrade possibility, i would go with Gateway.
Or he could get neither and buy an sd/micro sd card, downgrade and jam it into his 3ds full of .cia's.

there's no limit to it, I've been using mine along with a 32gb SDcard and it took me 18 games to fill

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.

Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
