Hacking Since the 3DS has an SD card slot and upgradeable firmware...

I'm not really super knowledgeable about the CFW scene, but wouldn't it be possible to eventually do some sort of firmware hack like on the PSP and run software off of the SD card rather than requiring a flashcart?

Just curious if this is possible from a technical standpoint, since it certainly seems like it would be.

I know nothing about hacking or firmwares and stuff but I'm almost certain that by hacking files we can hack the 3ds...

IMO, the 3DS basically needs a full on CFW/System Menu hack. I think flashcarts are the thing of the past in terms of the 3DS.

On a serious note though, I can see what you mean, but creating a flashcart is inheritently "easier" than finding and exploiting a fault in the firmware. Hardware faults are easier to spot and generally hard to correct by a given developer, thus safer to exploit and I'd expect flashcarts first.
