No you can just update normally with sysnand, it's emunand if you install CFW where you need to watch yourself a little.

Alright I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I followed the instructions from the video and after a few attempts got sysUpdater to work.
I press "Y" to downgrade and it said "Gathering information" after a few seconds it said complete and rebooted. When I check the System Setting it said I'm still on 10.3
What exactly am I doing wrong?

You will lose the data, yes.

But you can back it up before doing that. And you will be able to download them again.

FINALLY!
After spending all the day getting the "error, press power button" screen, i've managed to downgrade my N3DS to the 9.2 master race.

You can use the svdt homebrew to backup your saves. The files you can copy from the SD card.

Not sure about the folders right now, my 3DS isn't here.

When you injected FBI into


Ugh, I can't inject FBI into H&S. Any ideas? I followed this guide to the letter: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wip-complete-custom-firmware-guide.396349/

It always says it can't read hs.app

I tried both created apps, with and without banner. Renamed them to hs.app, went to H&S inject in Decrypt. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Okay, I tried using the generator again, and put it on the SD.

This time when I ran the H&S injector, it succeeded, but when I opened H&S from the home menu, it told me there was an error, and I should redownload it.

NOW the icon is missing. I tried injecting again, which succeeded again, but the icon is still gone.

Any ideas?

You should warn that Japanese users of a New 3DS must remove the title 000400102002CA00 if they don't want to get a brick.

I am a new comer. don't you mind tell me how to do this? and other question how to make sure I have hard mod and nand backup?

I know someone who can do hard mods, was wondering if I shouod get the hardmod first before downgrading a 10.3 o3ds.
Is it possible to backup the system with hardmod? So if it bricked I can restore to the original system?
