Tutorial Simple Guide to Downgrading your 3DS

I'm on 9.7.0-25 E and I've opened up the homebrew channel from sliderhax. I've opened sysUpdater from the first post and pressed Y but it's been stuck on that screen for about 30+ minutes being non-responsive. (The (A) update, (Y) downgrade, (B) exit screen).
Is it safe to reboot and try again? Or is it doing stuff in the background?

Worked first time on my O3DS @ 10.3U using Julian20's sysUpdater with MenuHax! Seriously, first time with no problems whatsoever. Worked like a charm, no softbricks, nothing.

I really wish I had tried it! It looked like some sketchy attachment of an older build that was less stable so I ignored it.

I've heard Julian's build was safer, I hard bricked with the original release, gonna wait a month and try again once my 2DS gets back, or maybe I'll just stick with the legit CIAs for now

I'm helping some brazilians in another forum and everyone that used Julian's sysupdater got their 3DSes to downgrade.

I'm using legit CIAs too (two games only, haha). But I'm tempted because Nintendo might change the firmware and there will be no way to recover from a softbrick and be on 10.3

That's really unfortunate and can sadly happen easily. If only the needed files could be grabbed via 3DSNUS or whatever the downloader is called alot of that could be minimized :/

Oh, I was too excited and didn't pay attention. I think that if you know what you are doing a lot of the problems will just go away (when you are already on 4-x-9.2).

I think you can. At least one of my friends did it and it was fine.
Try to use menuhax.

It's a n3ds using ninjhax, entering through hbl after open the ftpbrony

Leave it for 30 seconds, as long as nothing else appears on screen you are fine to restart and try again. It's when it locks at any point after it has started reading the cia's that you've got trouble.

Made an account just to thank you for this. Was trying forever with browserhax, but your sysupdate link and using menuhax as recommended worked flawlessly.

Also you were correct, I installed MenuHax and it started the downgrade process now, so I'm praying all goes well.

this uses libkhax again. It should work(the last one works too, but it needs much times to launch)

Failed to get CIA file info!

Mostly I just get black screens after opening it on HBL, sometimes the Failed CIA message. What can I do? I have a n3DS XL USA 10.3

EDIT: Tried also with menuhax and ironhax but I get the same issues.

Well, I didn't see any bricks using Julian20's sysupdater build. But they might happen...

If you already have a hax installed you don't need to update. And I'd go with 9.2.
