to clarify:
my M5D Numbers are matching the ones stated on that iso site i downloaded the firmware from.
but i'm afraid to use the files because they're different to the numbers stated in the original post!
did you guys all had matching M5D numbers with the ones listed in the first post?

Please use the search function to do some basic research before asking.
It has been stated numerous times that the MD5s in the OP do not match those from the ISO site. Therefore, no one that downloaded the files from the ISO site had matching MD5s with the OP.

It seems like the files from the ISO site have been repackaged at some point after the OP posted the MD5s. That is why they are different.
If you chose the right file and the MD5s of your downloads match the MD5s of the site you downloaded from, you are as safe as you can be.

Does this work if 3DS isn't on 10.3?

I think technically it should, but any bricks by users not on 10.3

Also, any recommended sysupdater for higher sucecss rate?

Some say 10.3 is the most stable FW for downgrading, with the highest success rate. But it's hard to say because there are no reliable statistics.

I successfully donwgraded my 9.9 EUR N3DS, but it took me more than 10 tries. So much that I didn't bother counting anymore.

There are two branches of sysupdater:
LIBk (found in the OP, probably the most reliable)
SULib
This one uses SULib instead of libkhax. Hopefully it will work now

USE THIS WITH YOUR OWN RISK!!!

I used the SULib one.

Okay cool!

Cause I've gotten my hand on a
Blue N3DS LL (Japanese), and wondering besides the .cia that should be removed from downgrade "updates" folder, what else I may need..

I've been reading through the posts and have noticed a lot unresolved bricks while the description of the thread still claims that no one has bricked their 3DS using sysupdater

Just FYI. Seemingly permabricked my N3DS, here's the details.

Started w/ 9.4 US Majora's Mask. Browserhack *check* > Verify 10.3U files *check* > Upgrade went smoothly *check* > reboot into permanent black screen *check*. I've tried booting into recovery, nothing works. GG.

Also, I used SULib.

A friend got a problem and I'm not sure how to help him.

He downgraded, but can't access system configuration or the browser. Would downgrading again help him?

Hi All,

Hoping someone can help me. I'm currently on version 10.1.0-20E. I am unable to use browser hax due to it being blocked by Nintendo. What can I do to get around this? I do have a sky3ds+ card if that could help.

Use Cubic Ninja to set-up menuhax. That's all you need to follow the tutorial.

Like I said; the description of this thread should be updated because it still states that no one has bricked using this guide. Anybody with experience messing with sysnands knows that it can't be brick safe. You can only ensure the safety of your system(for 9.3-10.x) if you hard mod and backup your sysnand before messing with it.

Do any of the lights work? for example does the battery light turn on when you plug in your 3ds?

Yes, the lights all work fine. Charge light comes on when plugged in, and the blue power light comes on as well when started. Screen just won't boot.
