Nicksasa, are you sure you didn't forget any important file? I tried to install a wad of "World of Goo" (using WAD Manager 1.5) and execute it via Triiforce. Everything work flawlessy with the full nand dump (obtained by Simple FS Dumper 0.1), but using the dump obtained by this version the game does not work. It gives me an error message similar to the following: "An error has occured. Please eject the disk and switch off the console" (the words were different.... but I don't remember them anymore).

Thanks for your wonderful apps.
Different VCs/WiiWare use different IOSs... I can't comprehend as to how Triiforce can work without them...
Kinda seems to me that the IOSs (at least some of them) would be needed in order for Triiforce to work.

...Maybe the owners of Simple FS Dumper and/or Triiforce could give some more incite into this.

I have a problem:
Wii Wanki 4.0E, IOS36 rev1042, wiikey 1.9s, SDHC da 8Gb, homebrew channel 1.5
SFSD0.2-SD-FIX
I launch it (not sd fix tell me "error, sd card removed)
"Currently using IOS36 rev 1042
Select the ios to load for Simple FS Dumper: 249
U should use the lastest cIOS 249"
if i select 36 or 249 i press A and

Hi i downloaded using 'Download 0.2'

I renamed the SimpleFSDumper0.2.dol to boot.dol.
I then ran the program through HBC. I chose 249 and the whole process seemed to go through ok and told me the backup was 72mb?? Is this normal as a nand is usually 500mb+?? It also said it was going to ignore a few of the folders it was extracting!

Do i need a usb stick or drive to do this?

The backup seems to have taken up the 72mb of space on my sd card but i cant find it anywhere.

What's the name of the backup file it produces and where is it located?

Is it only visible on the wii?? Or should i be able to see it in windows on my pc when the card is inserted.

Aplogies on the noob questions but i did not get any 'readme' file with the download!

Cheers!

SPEC:
PAL 4.1 E
Waninkoko's cIOS 38rev14 as 249
Hermes cIOS's
Wiiflow (222 & 249)
Bootmii as boot 2 & preloader 0.29

I think you didn't read the first post.

0.2
*Dumping to the root of SD now
*Only dumping the nessecary files and channels/vc/wiiware for nand emu (means, no IOS files and other stuff, should save you ~100 MB wink.gif )

By the way, this application created 8 folders on the root of your SD card.

import, meta, shared1, shared2, sys, ticket, title and tmp

By ~100, i assumed 'nicksasa' meant 100mb less than the usual size nand of about 500mb+. I presumed the dump would be about 400mb. But thanks anyway for your reply.

Also when i tried to run the latest version of triforce (trifirce beta 7) and choose the option to 'Use SD-NAND it says 'Loading....No titles found' and locks up the screen and wiimote so i assumed that FSdump may not have worked properly as i have have never had the chance to use it before.

Is Trifirce looking in the right place for the folders? Do you think this may be the problem?

Any Suggestions Kovani? Nicksasa? Anyone?

That means you don't have VC/WiiWare games installed on your NAND. I think that's the reason why your dump was only 72mb.

Thanks again,

My head is starting to hurt!!

Do i need a fsdump of my nand PLUS a full dumped bootmii nand.bin for this to work? And do they have to be on separate drives i.e root of sd will hold fsdump of nand and usb pen drive to hold the nand.bin.

How can i now install vc/wiiware to the dump that fsdumper created on the root of my sd card. Or do i have to install it to the main nand first?

Do i have to have my sd card hooked up to my pc via my sd card reader to install the games to the folders that fsdumper created using showmewads? i.e physically install the wads via the pc and to the drive that the sd card is located in.

Damn, now im confusing myself and starting to talk gibberish. I think it may be best for me to not bother! LoL

I am finding that there are very few good installation and usage guides & faq's released with new apps lately!! Pity!
