I think the videos do not have enough bitrate, they are blurry with a lot of compression, anyway I think the SH is still the same after the emulator update, still can't replace the fonts, it's a shame not to be able to complete them 100%

If your on 1080p, it's gonna be blurry coz I make the video on 2k resolution. Also, silent hill 2 needs to rework coz with the update of pcsx2, I think it will become smaller in size. Another thing, Silent hill 4 the room, cannot be upscale due to pixelation after it's been upscaled in the past but when pcsx2 updated, the issue has been fixed.

This game is now more cursed honestly. It's meant to resemble him as a child not whatever this monstrocity is.

its not my business but i have an answer: SH 1 has a problem with transparency of some textures, i think bcoz that no one did a texture pack release until now, i see one TP on a russian video but sincerely its a horrible one, posterized as hell. there is someone else REMASTERING it in YT but til today there is nothing available. The Fog effect works like a revealing curtain, if you put the textures without transparency everything popping raw on the screen, there is some textures with this problem, i tried many levels of transparency, alpha channel added with the photoshop method, nothing, its a beetle HW problem, i read something in forums somewhere, its a unsolved thing, i need to do more tests, maybe is not the upscaling itself or transparency, maybe its a COLOR depth wrong handling, i forget to mention the palleted texture hell dumps.

You're right on all counts, lots of people discuss the projects and 'show their work' but nothing solid has been releaed anywhere. Perhaps it's just a project where 85% is done but not transparent textures? Missing certain details where needed.

The dumping of images for this game is still not addressed by the emulator, for the single image, It will produce 3 to 6 or more images with different colors. Now, if you could edit those small details like in the attached images, you're already a God-sent.
 
Also im pretty sure you would need the correct dump hashes from the ps2 to match the ones from the pc, so you would have to go through the ps2 dump and manually rename the pc textures to match the ps2 dump equivalent then overwrite them, after spending 10 minutes to find the exact match one by one. a process that would take forever and i'm still not sure that would even work anyway tbh.

Problem solved, i think, SH dumps 2 types of textures, ones with "layer" transparency opacity at 128, and the ones with a "background" transparency, 255 opacity, you can upscale with the same method both, but the ones with 255 opacity MUST BE reduced to 16 colors, 1 for trasparency backgrounds, goodbye fog problem

From what ive seen and heard, the dark dimension is the hardest to upscale with SH, if hes able to get that part going without having warped textures through parts of it he might be home free with it
 
He said there's about 6 versions of the same textures and if you remove a piece of one, it ruins everything.

If you open game TIM files, the palettes vary from 3 to 15 (in the case of harry 15) but the emu spit it in a procedural way, for example, at begginning just 7 palettes of harry will dump, but when you use some weapons like the knife, shotgun, rifle included in harry TIM there will dump the remaining ones, 1500 TIM aprox is the base for backgrounds and chars, plus palettes...
