What happens if you manually enable or disable nogc?

Bizarre, turning nogc on both 1 and 0 didnt break booting. My normal sd wouldnt launch atmosphere at all with these patches but this sd works fine. Id try copying all the files if I could but this sd is only 4gb.

Current patches seem to be working fine with Hekate on AMS 0.14.0, they're working with Fusee as well except for the new loader patch. I still can't reliably replicate the black screen boot issue, it's happening with and without any patches enabled including nogc, but it looks like Animal Crossing NH ( latest version 1.4.0 ) is always freezing on loading screen with Fusee while it's loading fine with Hekate.

Im stumped on why one of my sd cards is working but not the other. I tried deleting atmosphere on the main sd so its definitely not any setting breaking it, the setting would be removed when I redownload. So either these patches only work for certain sd cards for whatever reason, or some program the majority of people have installed is breaking it? Cant be tinfoil cause I used that in my tested and it didnt break anything.

Possibly the problem is generally due to ams 0.14.0 (a82914d5), because obviously FW 9.2.0 and possibly even lower FW versions cannot be booted and a black screen appears. This is new, because until now ams could boot all FW versions. Maybe this is also related to the patching problem.

Update, got them working on my old sd by disabling emunand. So the issue is likely either emunand not working (or partition based emunand) or its new fw not working (emunand is 10.1.0, sysnand is 9.1.0)

is it because I don't have the proper sigpatches ? or it's an atmosphere problem ?

Its because your fs patches are out of date. There's new ones but they're finicky. Seems to not work for some people

What are the sizes of your microSD cards? A friend of mine mentioned that on his main microSD (512 GB SanDisk), he gets the black screen with fusee-primary while loading sysMMC. However, on his 200 GB SanDisk card, he can boot emuMMC through fusee-primary with no issue.

So just to be clear what is the latest. Should we update and wait for patches or just stick to AMS13 for now.

Best to just stick to 0.13 for now. No need to update to it until 0.13 is unable to support a future firmware, and hopefully by then, this black screen issue will be fixed.

The black screen bug has been identified and replicated, and it's currently being worked on, hopefully a fix will be made available soon.

Seems to me the issue isnt size related, i got my other non working sd to work by disabling emunand which leads me to believe the issue is actually fw 10.x (emunand was 10.1.0, sysnand is 9.1.0)

While not looking at signature patches in particular, SciresM and hexkyz have reproduced the bug and are debugging now.
