well, in less than a day this thread jumped like 50 pages up and i'm too lazy to read it by the moment, so if this was asked previously sorry: what's with the 2dsXl? (I don't have one, just curiosity)
Mine works perfectly on n3ds. Held start+select+x and it brought me to the luma config, but I then checked the SD and in did in fact dump the files. So it's something on your end.I have a problem. I can't dump boot9.bin, boot11.bin and otp.bin, like the guide says. I've tried holding down start + select + X upon boot and nothing happens. I checked the boot9strap folder and nothing is there except for boot9strap.firm, boot9strap.firm.sha and secret_selector.bin.
Is there any way I can do this? I'm using a New 3DS, btw. If it's not working for anyone else, then I guess it's only New 3DS systems that are affected.
What can I do? @Plailect
You don't use RXtools. How would I start this with an Rxtools emunand? I don't want to brick.
Saying rxtools emuNAND makes me guess that you are using a 9.2 sysNAND. Which if that is true just use 9.2 sysNAND in the steps on 3ds.guideHow would I start this with an Rxtools emunand? I don't want to brick.
It dumped them now. So it seems like it only dumps them after rebooting and not holding down the buttons.Mine works perfectly on n3ds. Held start+select+x and it brought me to the luma config, but I then checked the SD and in did in fact dump the files. So it's something on your end.
Only time will tellWhat else will sighax bring in the future?
But how would I transfer my saves and emunand go sysnand?Saying rxtools emuNAND makes me guess that you are using a 9.2 sysNAND. Which if that is true just use 9.2 sysNAND in the steps on 3ds.guide
Haha how funny. This is for a friend of mine. I already have A9Lh on my actualYou don't use RXtools.
Oh, ok. Just restore the emunand.bin to the sysnand after installing A9LH (Follow the guide from scratch following what sysnand version). All the saves will be thereBut how would I transfer my saves and emunand go sysnand?

Correct. Just dump emuNAND (You'll probably want a fresh dump to make sure everything transfers) and then simply restore that dump to sysNAND.Oh, ok. At this point it's essentially something similar to a9lh, but occurs even earlier at boot (as early as we can get) and removes many limitations that a9lh had that can be used in the future for even better developments.Hey! I've been out of the loop for a few weeks, so what is boot9strap?

But as of right now it's a slightly enhanced a9lh, which can't be patched without a hardware revision and can be installed on any system firmware, even future firmwares. Though for now anything 11.4+ will require hardmod or DSiWare to install.
This is basically game over for Nintendo trying to stop CFW.
yes.OH! So I should definetly update then...Is it as safe to install as a9lh with 3ds.guide?
Yep. Super easy to upgrade from a9lh to boot9strap using 3ds.guide. The longest part of it is just getting the files downloaded and on SD. Actual installation is only 2 minutes.OH! So I should definetly update then...Is it as safe to install as a9lh with 3ds.guide?

Configuration file loaded successfully.
Unknown or wrong config value: 'a9lh' for 'payload type'
Are you using v2.0? Maybe @KunoichiZ missed some a9lh bits.Okay, now I've run into a new problem. Luma3DS Updater comes up with an error saying this:
I've removed all A9LH payloads, but it still comes up with this error. Is there something wrong with the updater?
Yep, definitely using v2.0. So I don't think it's anything on my end. ^^'Are you using v2.0? Maybe @KunoichiZ missed some a9lh bits.
Take a look at the releases page for v2.0 for what to do.Okay, now I've run into a new problem. Luma3DS Updater comes up with an error saying this:

I made a note of this in the releases page for the v2.0 update. I didn't forget any a9lh bits. This is an issue with the previous lumaupdater.cfg file. Are you using v2.0? Maybe @KunoichiZ missed some a9lh bits.
