Is this converter not compatible for all R4's and clones? I've converted the file multiple times and still can't get it to read in my DS for Yugioh 2009.

The problem with R4 Clones is... they're not all clones of the R4.
And some of the ones that are clones of the R4, aren't always compatible with R4.

There's about 50 "R4" clones out there... might help to know which of the 50 you have.

Thank you for your response. I have a black cartridge that says R4 Revolution for DS. It came in the Black R4 box and everything. I used to run the R4 firmware and then I'm not exactly sure what happened, but it stopped working. I think I updated the firmware with the unofficial kind. So then I switched to N5DS firmware and I'm also running YS menu on it. That's all I have on it right now.

I would suggest backing up all the games on your card

Extract a2h's YSMenu Generator to a folder somewhere like your desktop.
Put the YSMenu archive into the YSMenu folder of a2h's YSMenu Generator.
Extract DSTT.zip from DSTT_1.17a12.zip to the YSMenu folder

Hints: Password is long. No spaces. Not the same as EVERYTHING ELSE.)

Run a2h's YSMenu Generator and follow the simple steps:
1. Cheats -- Choose to grab an updated cheat file automatically.
2. Boot -- You probably want this as firmware
3. YSMenu Location -- YSMenu folder
4. infolib.dat -- Leave this blank
Press the Start button.

After you've copied all the YSMenu files (TTMenu folder, _DS_MENU.DAT file), grab the infolib.dat, savlib.dat, extinfo.dat and r4patch.dat from the DSTT.zip archive and put them onto your flash card in the TTMenu folder.

I just got home and I'm about to try it now. One more question. Should I use usrcheat.dat or cheat.dat for that? Will I need to use an R4 cheat editor to delete cheats so that games towards the bottom will show up?

I believe that YSMenu can read both, however I would suggest usrcheat.dat because it's unencrypted.
It's a smaller file to download, smaller file to sit on your card and faster to load and save in an editor.
Beyond that, they should be exactly the same.

As for removing unused games from the cheat file, YSMenu has NO problem reading all the cheats in the file so the only thing you have to worry about is making sure you have the most recent cheat file every month or so.


Every so often, you should also check for updates here: http://sites.google.com/site/weeklyinfolib/
infolib.dat, savlib.dat and extinfo.dat help load games faster and provide compatibility with new ROMs.
Just simply extract the .dats to your TTMenu folder and you're all set!

Hmmm...seems I ran into what seems to be a snag.

I downloaded from that mediafire link you gave me, but it doesn't have a dstt.zip in there. Just the TTMenu folder. Also no password anywhere.

Did I download the wrong thing or have things changed? I ran the generator, and it says "Done!" and the bottom, but have a green loading bar that seems to never reach the end.

I'm sorry if I seem slow or am missing something obvious.
