Nope! I thought that too but the case Is heavier and the chrome has greatly reducing my Wifi signal

It also gets smudges easier and the scratches >_<

I gotta keep this thing in a bubble wrap lol. But it's funny that when people see my dsi they say

"I didn't know they come in silver now?"

Finally replaced touch screen and button pads on mine, guess I can do 'finished' photos tomorrow since it has matching screen boarders and is actually screwed abck together properly

1.My DSL has a cracked hinge, and i wanna get it fixed cause right now all it does is flop around. So if i were to buy a shell replacement, will that fix my problems?
2. With the shell replacement i know you basically take the whole thing apart right? How difficult is that? cause i really dont wanna bork my dsl.

1. If everything else works fine, a replacement case should be enough.
2. Depends, you can make it easier on yourself by watching lots of tutorial vids so you know where everything is and how to do it before actually doing it.

The blue is a sapphire and the red is a ruby I've had for awhile. I embedded the sapphire in the UMD door of the psp by carving out the center and used hot glue and filler. Same process with the ds for the most part.

My first DS...had her for quite a while, hinge finally broke last year and replacing its case has led to a full-blown obsession with fixing DSes.
This one gets used like crazy, as you can see by the paint on the triggers actually starting to wear off...

This one I made for my BF. His fave color is orange, and I found this one on either Ebay or DX, it's the Naruto shell.
But...we kind of hate Naruto, so I had to cover up the logos and whatnot with stickers. Haha...Used the buttons off of a silver DS.

Here's one I made for this chick at school...She is a DBZ fanatic, so she has this sticker on the cover of her black DS which had a broken hinge and messed up top screen...so I brought it back to life for her. Merged it with a silver DS.
