Wow, I only have a Electric Blue phat DS, it still works with no problems. My hinge is extremely strong for some reason. I remember accidentally throwing it because a pesky bug was my screen while I was playing Pokemon Pearl. It still works.

my right hinge is half dead

because my cousin dropped it from th chair to the floor. very low chair. and yet its cracked already! do cobalt blue/black dsed spoil more easily?
and i lost my 2 styluses!!!

I mean, I've owned about 3 DS's, (One I dropped and broke the little fucker), the other one was a faulty one. And the newest is a new crimson red/black.

And none of them suffered from a broken hinge.

Just other accidents.

I actually had my DS hinge break on me on a vacation! We were going to fly down to Florida, so I put my DS in the luggage and flew it down with me. When I got it out to play it I found out the hinge cracked. That vacation sucked!

Stylus's only cost a few bucks for a 4-pack, and a new DS shell costs anywhere between $15 and $50. There are some great $15 ones on DealExtreme that look and feel a ton like the original casing. It is difficult to replace cases though, so make sure you know what you're doing. If you need some tutorials, just ask. I've got 3 or 4 that helped me a ton.

styluses cost $10 for 3
as for fixing the ds, i do not know. i get my ds fixed for free. my uncle works a GAME.
and i get ds acessories for free too.
