Hardware Should Switch Lite fan always be on or not?

Hello guys!

So i got my switch lite (the first one) one week ago and it got bad after 4 days so i had to return it, so i did...after a week i got a new one.

I noticed after switching it on, eather the fan is super silent or im def. Im not def though.
I went into my bathroom where there is dead silence and i did not noticed that fan was working.
I mean yeah ok, i know some PC fans for example dont kick in if temperature is lover than say 50°C after it goes above the fan kicks in and works.

so im wondering....is ny new switch lite droken again, or does switch lite fan does the same, i mean does it work only when it reaches certain temperature?

p.s. i wasnt playing any game, just browsing the system.

Lite has Tegra X1 "Mariko" chip and they are very quiet and cold.
If you can't feel excessive heat at the back of your console you are good.
Fan kicks in only when switch is heating up.
On mine i can't feel heat even after few hours of play and fan is barely spinning.
