Should i skip vampire killer and haunted castle? (the msx2 and arcade versions of castlevania 1)

Im planning to play every castlevania game in release order and i tought i should skip the msx2 and arcade versions of castlevania 1

It actually a difficult question to answer. It depends. The MSX version is a great version for a computer without great scrolling capabilities, it's more like a MetroidVania funny enough.

In my opinion you can skip Haunted Castle. The level design is lazy, the damage model is absurd and just not a fun game.
