Hardware Should i get a N3ds or PsV?

Hi, thank you for reading this.
I already have a 3ds, if i got a N3ds it would probably be for more speed with my games i already have.

If i get a PS vita it would be for Indies, and for hacking purposes,
Also if i do get one which one is better, Slim or Og?

If a home console is an option, a PSTV.

It can be had new for half the cost of an official PS3/PS4 controller (required and not included), and most importantly (with some minor hassle on every power cycle, required for hacking in general) you will be able to use generic USB drives instead of the rare and very expensive memory cards!

For the handhelds, I'm not an expert but it's basically high quality OLED screen vs moderately expanded battery, from what I've heard.
A 64GB card will likely double your total expense, compared to prices of used Vitas in my city...

All (unused) Vita consoles officially sold in the Western market are guaranteed to be hackable (3.60 or upgradeable to 3.60), and so are PSTVs the world over!


As for whether N3DS is worth it, that depends on how much you value actually usable 3D and the exclusive games (Xenoblade, Binding of Isaac, official SNES emulatior, c-stick support in SSB4, moderately improved performance in Hyrule Warriors, and little else)

If you already have a 3DS then a Vita will be a much better buy. I find the 3D on the original 3DS perfectly fine, and super stable 3D on the N3DS not always reliable (although I do wear glasses).

As for OG Vita vs Slim, it's a bit of a toss up. Slim has slightly better battery life and is, well, slimmer. OG has a better screen. How much better depends on who you ask. I would personally hate knowing I didn't have the best screen available so I went for an OG. Proprietary charger is a pain with it but otherwise I'm glad I went for it.

You're not really missing much on your current 3DS, so I'd recommend the Vita (or PSTV).
Besides, the Vita has Persona 4 Golden, which is my favorite game.

I was in the same situation a few months ago. My decision was to get a PS Vita and sell my 3ds to get a N3ds if speed was an issuse.

ps vita slim. If you want tv support you get better compatibility with games getting a capture card for the ps vita vs getting a pstv.

honestly either one would be a great Buy I own both

I started off with the 3DS and then I moved on to the N3DS definitely a slightly better gaming experience than the original just because of the screen quality not to mention the faster load times its also depending on your taste the 3DS has a larger Library then the Vita

I recently got the PS Vita last March and then I opted to buy the PS Vita Slim because of the portability I personally like the way the PS Vita feels in the hand as opposed to the 3Ds as it's also slightly more comfortable to hold while playing and fits better in your pockets as for the library on the PS Vita it does have some pretty impressive titles with great graphics but the Indie library is slightly better in my opinion

now if you're looking to hack your console I'd go with the N3DS if you can find one on 11.3 or lower you can install a9lh which is a great hack it is initiated at boot you don't have to worry about having accidents and you could stay up-to-date and play online without worrying about being banned

on the PS Vita you have HENKAKU which is super simple to install but only if you can find a PS Vita on firmware 3.60 or lower the downside to this hack is that you can't play online at all because the console requires you to be on the latest firmware in order to be online but if you do that you lose your exploit point which would defeat the purpose of you buying the console for the sole purpose of its hack capacity

Vita, no real point in getting another 3ds. I like the oled Vita better. Not just because of the screen, but because of the build quality. The slim feels cheaper. It's very light.

I had my oled Vita for a while and everything's fine. My slim, which I got later, started making a clicky noise when I push and let go of the triangle button.

I have both to be more exact I have an og vita and a n3ds, as you may have guessed by my console versions I went with the vita first thinking it was a better console and the game possibility on it were amazing in my head. Alas as time went by the 3ds was getting more and more games I was more interested in than the vita had to offer so I finally got the n3ds and I've never been happier. You already have a 3ds though you can sell it buy n3ds and just buy a vita, playing final Fantasy 10 again was cool.

Ps: stay away from a silent Hill game... worst decision of my life right there. I got burned with that one and one of the first shooters that came out with the console. I got the vital really early not long after release.
