Hacking Should i get a ds lite or psp 2000

2 days ago i went on a safari in an open jeep and my ds phat was in my pocket i stood up to look at a deer with my camera and i didnt even notice but my ds fell out near the wheel and the next thing i know is the jeep smashed it so my dads friend is iving me 2 good deals
a)a cobalt/black ds lite(2 weeks old)+original r4+2gb micro sd for $140
b)a black psp 2000(6 months old) with custom firmware an a 2gb memory stick with 2 games free for$210

ps dont say get a dsi because i dont want it

which is a better deal i goota go get it tommorow and ill post pics of the system tommorow

personally i will still go for DSL
just because it provides me variety of games

if you fancy top notch graphic over the variety of games that DS is offering
then go for PSP

I much prefer my PSP over my DS because of the far better graphics it offers as well as the PSP has much more features than the DS Lite and an updateable firmware. The only benefit I really see is the far larger game library of the DS in comparison to the PSP.

I agree...also, it's kinda pointless to ask such question on Nintendo dedicated forum, and especially in NDS section..You won't get objective opinion in this.

If you are a what they call "hardcore gamer" PSP is more suitable for you. If you just play whatever good games that come your way, the DS is definitely your thing.

PSP:
-Good graphics
-More "Hardcore" games
-Larger display screen than DS.
-Supports Memory Cards without additional add-ons (e.g flashcarts)
-Analog Stick
-Its 2000? Get it nao!

DS:
-Innovation (Touch Screen)
-Nice and glossy
-Two screens
-Has a variety of good games
-Can have classics like Mario from our very own Miyamoto-san and Nintendo
-2 weeks, newer than the PSP

The PSP...if only because as time goes on it's going to get harder and harder to get a CFW'able PSP and if you pick one up now you certainly won't regret it. You'll be able to get flash cart compatible DSL's for the foreseeable future so theirs no kind of urgency.

Well i don care about graphics that much the games should be good and i know features like music n video i can use with the r4 and i like rpgs and side scrollers but the psp homebrew is really nice so im stuck

PSP can emulate GBA without slot 2 (hell it doesn't even have the slots) You can play your RPGs and Platformrs there

But I'm biased against PSP fanboys just to let you know

RPGs? It's got plenty of them. Sidescrollers? Maybe not so much.

I mean the DSls price new is probably going to drop nearing Christmas, so just pick one up then along with a flashcart.

And FFIV is kinda good considering its a classic ported into 3d, KH is good too.

as mentioned r4 is dead~!
you can easily get other flash card like acekard, cyclo, scdsone which are pretty cool

well seriously.. one downside of DS rpg is the playability~!
the game time is usually shorter~!

Another thing you could do is check the Essential Games threads for each console, and then make a decision based upon which one you think has the most games that will interest you.

Game time shorter but theres a nice thing about all games from all consoles, its called "replayability"

Actually, When I look at the list most of them are pretty much known or hyped by E3 already so if you aren't happy with the RPGs now then consider the change, though PSP has some nice fighting games

And try commenting at the kickgaming contest if you haven't, you may get a new cart

PSP nice fighting game? the only one i can think of is ff dissidia...
it is damn awesome~!

anyway psp also have nice adventure and innovative games

you can always replace with a new casing/housing
