It's $7.25 nationally - unless a state specifically increases it themselves. Many states choose to keep it at $7.25.$15 is the minimum wage isn’t it?
Well
It is in California at least-
Not sure about other states

Have you had any experience shoplifting? Do you do it actively?
Any stories about your experiences?
What are your motivations?
Shoplifting aka stealing is extremely common nowadays. I’m curious as to how many people actually do it-
Keep in mind, this isn’t a thread to help people out or give tips. I’m not encouraging any of this activity either. This is purely out of curiosity.
I would like to be Holier then thou but I am not. I know what I do and I know right from wrong, and I know how to play the legal system like a fool too. That being said this is for humor and humor is what it brings. So please do go on about your story of rats picking what milk they drink from? They're definitely some smart little rodents that are extremely hard to get rid of sometimes. My American life is mostly focused in Hawai'i; everywhere else I visit on the Mainland is for Business Trips, so my attention is divided on the work at hand.
In Hawai'i I did not see as many Convenience Stores; Seven Eleven was around but there weren't visible Competitors so the scene isn't as prolific as the Japanese Holy Trinity of Seven Eleven, FamilyMart and Lawson seen at every block. Plus AEON.
In South East Asia, there are also just as many Convenience Store chains and the biggest difference is that every Theft they have is directly deducted from the pay of Staff who were working that Shift.
I've seen plenty of things during my stint in Retail Management, but seeing Young Cashiers literally cry their eyes out because what little they make gets cut for Theft is still up there with the worst.
So that's what I can contribute from the other side of the Counter.
On a lighter note, I've also seen Warehouse rats choose which Imported Milk they want to drink, but it seems Off-Topic and a story for another time ...
Haha yeah slippery slope COUGHCOUGHSCAMAZONCOUGHCOUGHWhile I would never, shoplifting is one of those smaller crimes where I just think, "eh, whatever". So long as it's like, Walmart and not some small store. I do think it's a slippery slope, though.
So please do go on about your story of rats picking what milk they drink from?
That's interesting! Yeah Retail is a beast of it's own.French Milk.
Warehouses usually stack all Milk products in the same area.
New rats are opportunistic, but Retail Giants sign Rents in Shopping Centres as Anchor Tenants, which is at minimum a 10-year deal. So several Generations in, rats apparently don't even touch Local nor Imported Brands outside of the French.
You learn some things working in Retail.
I stopped drinking straight from Cans and will give them a pass with Disinfectant Wipes if I had no choice.
Hahahaha.one of these days imma just ring up an xbox or ps5 as a bunch of bananas, then book it to the car.

Shhhh I’m trying to play it cool in front of the FBI that’s obviously totally watching ;O;COUGHCOUGHSCAMAZONCOUGHCOUGH
Well that very plan never worked out very well for this Kid.one of these days imma just ring up an xbox or ps5 as a bunch of bananas, then book it to the car.

The problem is this:they didn't run fast enough

And the next day too?The problem is this:
Getting away once is fine, but doing it twice? Same store?
Teen buys PS4 for $9 by disguising it as fruit, gets arrested after trying it again.
