Hacking Shop channel without updating?

My Wii's version 4.1U, I have the Homebrew Channel and USB Loader GX installed. I wanted to go on the shop channel to buy Cave Story, and it said I had to update. There's no way to go on the shop channel without updating, and presumably killing the HBC and Loader, is that correct?

update your Wii then softmod it again using the sticky guide(s)

The fact that you didn't even bother searching for an answer to something that has been asked and answered hundreds of times over tells me that you aren't worth the time it takes to explain the whole thing.

all you need is wiiscu. it will update your wii shop channel only and leave everything else the same.

went on shop channel to buy cave story aswell , but realized it still isnt up...anyone know why it still says 3/15 update and all of the 3/22 stuff is not up yet?

Don't update to 4.2 stay at 4.1.
