Gaming Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey

All I can say that Persona 3 and 4 got me into the SMT games, which I didn't realize that existed, so I see no harm in "attaching" the SMT name to it.

Anyway, how many different endings does Strange Journey have ?

Basically, this. I actually started out playing the OG PSX Persona 1. I was young then. I didn't understand the game and it freaked me out - ok I was scared out of my mind. Alittle later on I got my hands on P3 and OH MY GOD did I have an experience.

To make a long story short, I love the SMT series (which I didn't know existed) and look forward to all of ATLUS' new games.

ETA - Also if you live somewhere you can't find these games, you can import them ((Almost all) DS games are region free, so are PSP and PS3 games), so if you can find someone trustworthy, with reasonable shipping prices its not a bad way to go. I make use of Ebay and Play-Asia.com a lot.

Yeah, I can use that (I used play-asia to get FFTA2, but with problems with the mail delivery sistem in mexico took almost 6 months to arrive). I think I need to order it with Knights this time to at least worth the certified delivery and not take other 6 months.

Why are people so sure theres guna be AP? Its from atlus!!! I cant recall any of the atlus games having AP! Devil Survivor didnt!

We are not talking about Sega or Nintendo here i actually dont think Atlus givesashit aslong as word of mouth spreads and they make a profit from there games:-

Same here I had heard about Digital Devil(the hard one on PS2) but Persona 3 is what got me into smt

If memory servesme corredt the J version had AP but it wasn't particulary good and got fixed fairly quickly. Personally I expect a repeat.

...What do you expect from this game?

Lots and lots of grinding, and lots and lots of "collect 'em all." Truly, this is Pokemonz/DQM for a mature audience. I'll play it, probably love it for a few hours, and then like Devil Survivor, pack it away indefinitely. There is a chance, however, I'll put more time into it than Devil Survivor simply because it's a true RPG, whereas I was kind of burnt out of SRPGs at the time of DS' release.

The Japanese AP could be fixed with Rudolph's Child's play patch, IIRC.

Takes more like 20 minutes before you get to the stage where you realise there are no random battles.

Still, the J version is already fixed, chances are it should work fine.
