Hardware Setup PSTV with Controller that has no USB port

I just bought a new PlayStation TV and a 3rd-party Power A Controller with no USB port. it uses a wireless receiver and has no USB port like a DualShock 3 might have. it is made for the PlayStation 3. I have no other controller and I am stuck on setup. is there anyway I can setup the PlayStation TV with the controller, without having to plug it in to USB. The receiver and Controller show that the controller and receiver are paired.

If the controller has to be plugged in then when the system restart it is better off to get an official PS3 controller.

Ok thanks, I was just checking to see if there was a solution. I will be getting a official DualShock 3. Thank you for letting me know

The DS4 has some extra features that can be used with PSTV, but the battery life is terrible.
