Thanks again, one last question if that's alright.
If I install DLC for a game on redNAND, what happens if I boot the original base game on sysNAND? Will it act like I never installed DLC? Will I brick the console?
It will act as if you never installed them.

vWii is a part of the NAND, so everything you had will be in redNAND. Second, you do not have to format sysnand, meaning you don't have to format your hard drive. Hope this helps

Anyone been able to repack decrypted/loadiine format files back to NUS files and able to successful run the game?

I've done this repacking guide 10 times now for EU Binding of Isaac and the only progress made was getting to the splash screen and now freezing.

I took a copy of TBOIR in loadiine format, edited the meta.xl to change the region from EU to US but when installing, everything is fine until I go to boot the game. I get the splash screen that every game gives but then it''s stuck on that screen. Any help?

Even booting with SCT, it just flashes the splash screen for a split second then freezes at a black screen.

That FAQ mentions sysNAND not being able to use the external harddrive. It does not mention that the redNAND can't. I would assume it could, since it would still have all keys etc. inside the dump
formatting sysNAND will unlink any external drive and NNID linked to the console.
Ugh, I guess I should have worded that better, but every external drive will be unlinked to the console.

Gambia, The
booting cfw booter doesn't work - I dumped otp.bin from my console and placed on C:\ and on C:\iosuhax-master for safety, The path of the makefile is C:\iosuhax-master\makefile.
I copyed the fw.img from C:\iosuhax-master to the sdcard root. I booted homebrewlauncher over loadiine.ovh and booted cfw booter.
Some lines on a red screen on my gamepad, then it went to homemenu - so nothing happened. The md5 of fw.img is 91AEC1450002169E68C86ED1DC75CDBD
My wii u is on 5.5.1 eur

What did I wrong

you're compiling the wrong fork of iosuhax.

dimoks branch contains rednand, fix94's is only for wupserver.

One more question! After dumping nand and putting files back on sd to start up CFW booter its going to a black screen "Welcome to rednand" after a few seconds enters wiiu menu says "please wait" then I am back on the menu.

does this mean I am done or did I miss something.

Yes. If you are on the Home Menu, everything is fine.

A test you can do is to create a folder named redNAND, then reboot your console. If it goes away after turning the console on, then reappears after loading redNAND, then everything is set up right.

So after dumping my nand, the wii reset back to the wii menu. I assumed it was done....
Removing the SD card now and inserting it back to my PC.
My PC is asking me to format it? IS THIS NORMAL? <<<---------------
- Then my next step would be to re-add the "saved" files i started with (FW.img / Apps)

User bROG was right.
Finally I was able to pack the game :)
If someone still not working: you must add CAFE_ROOT in system variables and in user variables, for example:

Can you add this information to the guides?

Sort of.
You can install out of region games, they just won't boot directly from the home menu.
You can however, use sysconfigtool to boot out of region titles.
How i do that, i enter in system config tools, but open only a options configuration.

I have a US console and wanna play fatal fram V, o found only a EUR USB install version (because the tik). I just lost the hope of a US version and i don't have a 100% of shure if i will play that game :(

You'd want to go to Title Launcher, then just launch the game from there.
However, there's a section in the guide that actually allows you to turn games region free, so you can boot into it from the home menu.
You need the SDK though, but if it's something you feel comfortable doing, it's definitely a viable option :)

It's safe, so long as you make sure to follow the instructions. Be forewarned though, dumping the NAND will take a long time, so have something else to do while that goes on.
Thansk for the heads-up! I was just about to start.

Just as safe as trusting your moon dump... But seriously it's pretty darn safe.

one more thing- by "at least 16gb sd card for 8gb wiiu's" could I use a 32 gb one? just by looking at the "at least" it's what I assumed.
