I'm running Windows XP.
I have svchost.exe problems. Sometimes it uses a lot of Memory and CPU
I've heard it can be a small minor issue linked with windows updates but I believe mine to be far worse
I can't even search some windows updates files on my browsers
when I type windows updates on google and click the links the "connection resets"
a website that has a direct link to one of the windows update agents 30 - x86 or w/e gets the same response

That's why I believe it to be a virus.

I've tried many programs and such trying to remove it, any suggestions?

also - it makes my computer really slow and laggy.. it's been going on for over a week know.
Probably should have mentioned it sooner.

Please help me

svchost.exe is a service host process. That means that it's probably a rogue service or, more likely, a service that's having problems.

Try having a look at the resource manager to see if it can tell you exactly what service is leaching most of your resources.
