Hi.

Can SDCafiine "add" new files to a game? I ask because I created a new map obj in Mario Kart 8 and I could load it using Cemu but not in the Wii U. I guess it only works if the file exists on the Wii U... (after all it just replace files)

I have my doubts, since the final patched game file is 3 GB, and I sort of doubt the ability of the Wii U to handle swapping such files on the fly from an sd card

I haven't really played that game for a very, vey long time, but if memory serves you are supposed to permanently alter a copy your game in order for this to work, ie. you don't run the patch through SDCafiine for this one

I can't tell you whether or not this is actually possible, but I certainly wouldn't bother trying anyway. It's better to alter a copy of your game and install it through WUP Installer.
 
Did anybody else have problems loading in custom music with a game like NSMBU? I downloaded and put on 4 mods, but none of them loaded in custom music. Everything works fine in the mod besides that, is there something you have to do besides just putting the mod in root:sdcafiine/[NSMBU TITLEID]/[MOD] ? Any help is appreciated

There may be compatibility issues with the game version you're using. Is it the USA, EUR, with or without New Super Luigi U / DLC ?
 
Is it possible to run SDCafiine at boot in the tiramisu?
Make a channel for SDCafiine with the Haxchi method. Use the channel and then later it will appear in the quick start menu and you can then instantly launch it on any boot.

Thanks,I mean if there will have the special version of SDCafiine (like the bloopair) that can be placed to the tiramisu setup folder will be better. I just temporarily replace homebrew_launcher.elf with the SDCafiine.elf , and it works well.
 
Regarding Xenoblade Chronicles X

Is there any way to make both mods and HOME-button work atm?
 
I could never get SDCafiine to work on my 5.5.5U (still softmodded with Haxchi btw) console at all, if i launch Sm4sh it would freeze on the splash screen forever + turn the TV screen into black (but not on my gamepad!). :[
Trying with some other games such as MK8 simply just starts normally without any modification or prompt to select my desired modpack. Am i doing something wrong here? I did a lot of checkings to my mod folders but i couldn't spot anything wrong tbh... :l
The only last theory i could think about it is my console region or model number...or revision idk, but i bet this would make any sense.

Sounds like your smash mod has a faulty mod or mods in it. If you put it together yourself then you'll have yo rebuild it from scratch testing every individual mod but if it's a downloaded pack check with the creator that it has been tested on console and not just cemu. A lot of these mod packs are only tested on cemu.

Your sdcafiine works perfectly well if your getting the mod list on other games like mario kart so the only viable reason is your smash mods.

Thanks for replying but i think you didn't get it lol... my mario kart 8 modpack literally just launches without any mods or any difference at all! Seems like each game acts with a different problem than others

Ah, my apologies! Read it the other way round, my bad!

What is your folder structure in that case and the prob the best way to see if caffine has indeed loaded properly, stick a custom menu in the folder and see if it loads a different colour.

Oh, and check your title ids are correct and for your games region. Should be

Sd/sdcafiine/the title id of said game/content and possibly dlc folder (aoc for mk8 im sure)

think aroma uses wiiu/sdcafiine/ iirc.

Wait nvm...i was indeed mistaken! Sorta, it's still an exception for Sm4sh but that's indeed my mod's fault as you said earlier.
What i did is giving my last shot with the "sdcafiine/id/modpack" method AND placing its .mod plugin at "wiiu/plugins".
it might not be able to store multiple mods for now to say the least, but it's better than nothing tho...! i appreciate you guys help! :]

Hi everyone!
Is it possible to load game mods with aroma sdcafiine autoboot plugin? I wish to run the translation of Zelda Breath of the Wild in Portuguese BR, if it is possible how do i proceed? It can load besides theme menu plugin together too?
Do i need to install the game via WUP Installer or can be done with the retail disc boot menu?
