on topic: i would love this item, but the compatibility isnt great. i mentioned awhile back, someone should start making ODEs for older systems. I'm willing to bet its simple (in terms of the documentation is available).

Simple, yes. But is there enough demand in the market? Probably not.

The Dreamcast's serial port simply wasn't meant for large file transfers - it's a problem with some games and not so much with others, it's acceptable. That being said, I've seen some Dreamcast ODE's in the works so perhaps in the future we will be able to replace Dreamcast optical drive entirely in favour of something more user-friendly.

GD-ROM Emulator Project is still on-going, I think.
