Has any had issues with the SD being set to read only after it being in the switch (sx os) only way to fix it is to check disk for errors?

It is a Sandisk 128GB exfat formated through windows.

I am in the process of reformating the card with mini partion tool and putting the files back onto it.

I had a 64Gb recently die in similar circumstances after coming out of a 3DS..

It would complain about being write protected, which it wasn’t as I used multiple adapters, then error out on any format/partition attempts made to it..

I put mine down to being a cheap card/potential fake. Are you certain your have a legit 128Gb MicroSD.?

If an SD card fails, it usual falls into read only mode to protect any data still on it for the user to recover.
I had a somesung 128GB one fail like this while in my WiiU.
As it wasn't under warranty I sent it to Samsung and they sent me a new one.

Bought from Tesco 3 weeks ago, so legit
If you have the receipt and original packaging you should be able to return it to tesco as they are good with returning things usually.

If not, then you will need proof of purchase and to get in contact with sandisk

I have you tried different sd cards? I have a different issue but i'm pretty sure it's related to the switches sd card reader.

re formatted with Mini Partion tool

put games back on played one, took card out, put in pc came up with Volume is Dirty error.

so either the card is faulty (most likely)
my usb adapter is faulty (will dig out anoher one)
SX OS is corruputing the card
The switch is corrupting the card
