Hardware SD Card Melted my Switch!!!

Alright so I got my switch Thursday *ordered off ebay* switch worked great... Friday I got my SX Pro dongle and tried to use it, it wouldn’t read my SD card ? So I took it apart and the SD reader wasn’t plugged in so I plugged it back in, put my switch back together, put the SD card in formatted it... everything seemed ok... went to the store for 15 mins and came home and the back of my switch was melted the kickstand was melted to the back and the back was melted right to the SD card slot.. so now I’ve ordered a new SD card reader for it and took back the melted SD card to Walmart, which they let me exchange ..... now what @[email protected] what the hell!?!?! Why would it melt like that?!?!?

I looked for one but they didn’t have the size I wanted... only Walmart brand !?!? WTF??

The SD card says right on the back “for Nintendo Switch

You got a bad quality card, don't complaint here, get a Samsung Evo or Sandisk card.

I've seen cheap SD cards explode similarly to that before, so anything is possible.

I got it figured out I got my new SD card reader plugged it in it works great keep checking to make sure if it’s hot or not and it seems to be running fine so....whatevea

I have seen this before. When microSD cards get cracks they go nuclear and short. As for why they crack in the first place i don't know.

This is what happened after getting the melted crap off I seen the SD card was broke... at first I thought it happened when I took the melted stuff off but thinking back when I changed the backplate I never took the SD card out before putting it back on so must be when I put the plate on it snapped the corner off
