my nintendo ds doesn't want to read the SD card says it's invalid, how can I fix this?

If the issue persists, then the DSi's SD slot might be malfunctioning.

Probably your SD Adapter is dirty internally.
If you have Isopropyl Alcohol and a toothbrush, soak the brush in it and clean the insides.
That should get rid of grease/dirt interfering with a proper MicroSD connection.

Another possibility is that your console's SD Slot might be dirty/damaged internally. Same procedure, clean contacts with toothbrush and Isopropyl Alcohol, and try again.
